I have never used Flash software before, apart from the standard user experience. But after posting a thread in one of the MS Access forums, asking how i might make my database a little more presentable and good on the eye; i was told to incorporate some flash software. Like a startup sequence? Does anyone (a) know of a site whare i could download any software (free) from? And (b) does anyone have any ideas of what i could do, and how i might go about doing it?

Go easy on me, im a learner.. Thank you for your help already.

To download a free month trial of Flash 5, go to and download the trial version from the downloads section. There are also tutorials available at both and
As for inserting Flash into an Access Database, I also have the same question and when I find it out I will let you know.

you do need to use some ASP (if you already know it you'll be good) to interface flash with the database. It is a bit different since you have to use actionscript to pass off the variables to the asp page for parsing. it's not impossible to do flash/asp, but just harder than say a regular asp page hooked up to the database.
