I am trying to get incoming caller ID from outside the system to work but I am not having any luck. In my system-parameters customer-options I have Analog Trunk Incoming Call ID set to yes.

But when I do a list trace tac it says "Calling Number & Name (display's phone number) NO-CPName."

I know there is probably something I'm missing, any suggestions?

Your trunk provider must send callerID
tn747B would need to be replaced with tn429D

display system-parameters customer-options
Analog Trunk Incoming Call ID? y
add trunk-group 2 Page 2 of 11
Receive Analog Incoming Call ID: Bellcore

We are not using analog phones. This document says that my trunk group type should be set to doid for it to work but we are using isdn. That's the only additional thing it says to do other than what I have already done and I am afraid to change my type from isdn to doid.

isdn trunks work with "b" protocol (NI2) on your ds1 board programming. This is an option that must match your provider and usually has costs associated with it to make this work.
