hello experts,

here is problemm for which is giving a lot of pain for me.
The problem is:
I had a firewall as check point on UNIX-AIX RS/6000 machine. We followed publisher network. not DMZ .
NATed has been done. NATed external IP to our local IP of DNS. The problem is we are not able to recive the packet.
But the internet connection is being established on all local clients of our network. But my DNS is not responding from outside. Till firewall the packets are coming after that it is not responding. My thinking is with IP routing. Can any one suggest what should be given in routing or any other to be done to get rid of this problem.

Hi

Have you opened port 53 for outside in your firewall?

Hi,

When you open port 53, make sure you allow ONLY UDP protocol. NO TCP. TCP only for transfering zone between primary and secondary DNS.

feroz
