I have had a few reports this week of people calling from out of state calling our actual number, only to have it just ring. The auto attendant never picks up. They can call right back and have it work.

Is there anything i should specifically look for?

how many ports do you have in mail.. either they are all busy so the call ques to ringback or if your trunks are analog, one bad trunk could cause that..

the problem can not be ld only IF they are calling inbound on the same route

I was thinking it could be a bad trunk but figured there was no way for me to tell.

I am not sure how many ports are available but its odd that all of a sudden it be an issue if that was the cause.

if you have annlog trunks, one going bad is common.. prior to t1's keeping a few doxen trunks up was a problem.. i have never had a bad channel on a t.. since it;s a time slot, sorta hard to break part of clock pluse

I actually only have 15 total. Never had an issue before. Granted ive only been doing this for just under 3 years at this company but still.

I would look at the 1st five or so trunks, since people are saying that they call right back and get through
