Incoming Line Groups 2

I have a MICS with software 1.0

We'd like to use the Incoming Line Groups option. I've gotten the lines into the appropriate groups, and gotten the ILG button on the telephone.

Problem is, no one knows its ringing unless they were sitting and staring at the telephone. Does anyone know how to make the ILG ring?

ILG is just what it stands for Incoming line group. You still need to program line to ring on specific stations or program to ring a hubt group.

I have assigned it to different DNs, but it only flashes. Never rings.. So when a call comes in if they aren't looking at the phone they'll never know to answer it.

You still have to tell the phone to 'ring' or 'appear and ring' for that line.

Changing the ringing of a Line on your phone

1) Press FEATURE * * 2 6 6 3 4 4
2) Enter Password: 2 6 6 3 4 4
Display will read: " A. Configuration"
3) Press: SHOW
Display will read: "1. Trk/Line Data"
4) Press: NEXT
Display will read: "2. Line Access"
5) Press: SHOW
Display will read: "Show set: ___"
6) Enter the Extension number you wish to make changes to.
Display will read: "Line assignment"
7) Press: NEXT
Display will read: "Answer DNs"
8) Press: NEXT
Display will read: "Ringing"
9) Press: SHOW
Display will read: "Line01: Ring"
10) Press: NEXT until you see the line number of which you would like to change the ring setting
11) Press the CHANGE softkey until the line is set to either RING or No Ring, whichever you prefer.
12) Press: NEXT
13) Press the RLS key.

It's always the simplest thing. Thanks for all your help!

It seemed like the likely solution. I have lines 1-4 in ILG01, Lines 5-8 in ILG02. I turned each line to Not Assigned, and assigned ILG02 to a test telephone. I set Lines 5-8 to Ring only.

The light flashes, but the set does not ring.

Any ideas?

Just a comment on your system here.. but lines 1-4 if set to ring - do they? You have R1T1 MICS.. try to make 25-28 ring and see what happens.

Yeah, I learned quickly about the lines 1-4, 25-28.. No go. The ILG still shows but doesn't ring..

Just to recap please.

How many sets don't ring?
How many/which lines don't ring?

Please try a full power down/up. Allow 30 seconds between.

Confirm that lines in your ILG aren't DIDs, Auto answer, or E&M. That you have only two lines per button.

Please state number of intercom buttons on effected phone(s)

Check your DND on Busy config.
