We have a NEC UNIVERGE SV8100 PBX running WebPro 9.50 (North America) and DT300 Series phones. When an in system user calls the three digit number of another in house user and the called user does not answer, the caller never gets prompted to leave a voice message after the normal 5 unanswered rings. The caller continues to hear the dialed phone ringing. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out what setting in the called user's profile is different from other users that can receive voice mails. I've verified that the called users are not routing calls to another number (CF) and have not setup DND. I only have a few users that cannot receive voice mails, all others work just fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be keeping calls to certain users from going to voice mail?

You need to set a call forward busy/no answer to the voicemail pilot number. the code for call forward is normally 744 and the pilot number should be 3999 but these can be changed so I can't say this with certainty. to cancel it dial 7440.

OzzieGeorge, you are the man! The 744 was set to the correct number, but it somehow got corrupted. Taking your suggestion, I checked that it was set to the correct number, set it to another number, then set it back to the correct number and it is now forwarding to voice mail after 5 rings as it should. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and making my day a good one!
