I have MICS-XC 7.1 with PRI here. I have few DID's programmed and assigned to ext# (Ring only/Appear 2 times/2 Intercom keys). When that ext# already has 2 calls active, the third call is not being transfered to VM. Caller gets assigned amount of rings, and then call is being dropped with BUSY tone.

Please can someone tell me how to program that third call to go to voicemail box ?

Thank you !

Under the target line programming make "if busy" the pilot number of the voicemail instead of prime.

Thanks, Dasheen, but it still goes to busy. There are two options only: "busy signal" and "to prime". Even if I set prime number to voicemail (2251 in my case), it is not going there anyway. It gives busy signal.

check the control sets (under services)settings for the set and the line and make them both match the ext #.

It did not work either... The 4th call still gets lost...

Does the 4th call ever ring the set?
Do you have DRT enabled?
What is the DRT delay?

I've had customers request this in the past and the only way I've come up with is using the Express Message line in Norstar CallPilot. The CallPilot actually will not pickup the call until all of the other instances of the Target Line are busy. Works great.

I only have NAM, not CallPilot. And no, the 4th call never rings anywhere. It goes directly to PRIME if it is different from EXT#, or gets lost with BUSY signal if PRIME set to EXT#. Even if I set prime to VM -- it gets lost.

Looking at the 6th post. Have you tried your Ring Only appearances matching your Intercom keys. At that time it was Intercom 4, Ring Only 3. I'd try 3 Intercom keys for laughs.

This thread has been going on for a year. Have you tried matching the recieved did number with the set or DN and mailbox #??
If an incoming number goes to a set and fna's to v mail it goes to the mailbox of the set it comes from.
If the set is busy and there is no path to the set (intercom key ,or line key)it transfers vmail but unless the incoming digits match the set dn or mailbox number it doesnt know where to put it, because it now is not coming from the set.
It usually then ends up in the GD mailbox. Do you have a general Delivery mailbox or is it turned off.
If matching the set to the recieved digits and mailbox # is not practical, try matching just the mailbox # to the recieved digits. That way if the call ends up in voice mail it may be able to find a matching box to put it into.

check the control set for the target line and the set ext make them both match the set ext.

services then control sets

I think norstarboy had the answer back a while. but do it this way. remove all call appearances for the DID. then just go in and assign 1(one) rong only appearance. the second &third calls will still go to intercom locations. your next call should see that there is no i/c and then forward on no answer to VM. Good luck
