I just installed 8 phone lines for private use. 7 out the 8 worked perfect, the last one is a giving me problems. First off all of the lines are on a centrex system so I have to dial 9 first. The line that is giving me problems, you donot have to dial 9 first. I can dial out on thae problem line but I cannot recieve the call. It does not ring on the targeted phone. The line is assigned to the right phone and it is set as private to the correct phone exteshion. All 7 other new lines worked and programmed perfect, but this last on that a 9 is not required to dial out on won't receive the calls. It sounds to me that the phone company didnot set the line up for the centrex system. Any thoughts or suggestions?

take the line out of the system and if it works for i/c calls ... or call the phone company and complain

If you own a butt set you can test the line to sure it has correct ring signal to trigger the norstar to ring. Or move the line to a different port (one you know is programmed correctly) and see if it rings there. If it rings the problem is in your set up. If not its a telco problem. I would call your provider anyway about the non-centrex issue anyway.
