I have a Norstar MICS-XC 7.0 system, to which I want to add an analog line for incoming calls (as we've been having service provider issues with our PRI lines, and we're in a rural area with poor broadband service).
When I call into the analog line, it rings once, then goes to a dial tone, and I can dial an internal extension # and it will ring. I don't know why it goes to a dial tone, instead of just ringing the prime set.
I've found the analog line ports in NRU and our punch block, and I've punched a phone line onto Line061, and in NRU, it's set as:
Trunk type = Loop
Line type = Pool C
Dial mode = Tone
Distinct rings in use = None
Distinct ring = None
Prime set = DN 500
Auto privacy = Y
Trunk mode = Unspr
Link at CO = N
Use auxiliary ringer = N
Full autohold = N
Loss Package = Medium CO
