Since upgradeing to 3.0DS (firmware 535) the CLID presented to an extension no longer shows the caller. For example an incoming call is answered by reception, then reception call an internal extension trying to get the staff to take the call. Before 3.0 (on 2.1.27) the CLID on the phone and in PhoneManager would show both Attendant (our Receptionist) and also the incoming caller. Now it only shows Attendant. THis was useful because the user could double-click the call in phonemanager and call the original caller not the Attendant. Is this a "feature" of 3.0DT or is there a switch to be pressed to get it back?

Cheers

Actually we are on 3.0DT (535) , sorry.

I've got the same problem calls transfered from the reception to a pots extn show only the reception extn number and not the incoming Clion level 3 software.

i also have another issue on 2.1.35 beside the ringing issue (or lack of ringing as it were) when the receptionist transfers a call to another extn no Cli if she then puts that caller into voicemail after the message has been played it say's caller was 200 which is the reception and not the Cli of the external caller.
we are also using voicemail to email as an alert and the header of the email say's you have a message from extn 200 again this is the reception and not the external caller.

i have been to site re-witten the cfg as have been told it is due to corruption in the system but after this i still have the problem. if anyone could shead any light on this i would be greatful as it has now been going on far too long

thanks

That kind of figures because 3.0DT release seems to be based upon a late version 2 release.

I don't understand why these things are taken out when they are very important especially since there is nothing in the release notes to say they have been removed or otherwise wtopped working.

I found the same thing when I upgraded to 3.0. The assisted transfer no longer passes the originating number in some situations. If it is a local extension it works but SCN extensions or outside callers does not where it did before 3.0.

This is really annoying when users were used to this feature and then it goes away.
