We have a clustered setup of two Mitel 3300 controllers. One is located in Jersey (01534)and one in Guernsey (01481).

I have been asked to program the devices such that a DDI number in Jersey rings on a phone in the Guernsey site. i.e. a jersey 01534 number that appears on a Guernsey device.

I am relatively new to the Mitel world and do not know if this is possible and how best to achieve this.

Many Thanks

You say these units are clustered.

Do you have OPSMan and are portable directory numbers setup?

Check your Remote Directory form, are emtries for all remote DN's programmed?

Yes we do have Enterprise / Ops Manager with a shared directory across all sites.

I guess my question relates to how do I create a number which will receive calls on the Jersey switch yet doesnt have a device physically attached. This number then needs to appear as a keyline appearance on the Guernsey hot desk users phone.

thanks

Hi, as long as you have some form of comms between the 2 sites you shouldnt have any issue, you can either point your system speed call to the hotdesk users login (your remote directory will take care of how to route the call) or do the same with a multicall line key (again the remote directory will take care of this.

Thanks
Kenny

When there is no physical device you need to program the remote directory manually.

You simply enter the DN of the Keyline on the Jersey switch and designate the Primary switch as the Guernsey switch. (Yes it is that easy)
