Hi everyone!

I was wondering if i can include in the final report filters i use to generate the query.

Imagine i want to see all clients but only from England.
Can i include in the final report that the listed clients are from England?

Of course i´m talking about something automatic and not having to write that myself ;)))

Thanks in advance

Hello SaraMaia,

If you mean with 'filter' an applied condition I don't think it's possible to show the name of the condition.

However, if you refer to a filter which you applied using the report structure window you can do the following to insert the value of the filter:

Choose from the menu: Insert -> Special field -> General filters.

The cell cursor appears. Draw a box and the value of the filter will appear.

Greetings,

Serge

Hello Saramaia,

If you have a prompt , then insert special cell --> query prompt.
If you have a hardcoded condition and you can get it at the end of the SQL , you can improvise with:

="Conditionname : "&Right(DataProviderSQL ("Queryname") ,60)

to show for instance the last 60 positions of the SQL generated (or more or less) to give the user some idea.

It's nothing fancy, but maybe it works in your case.

I think you can inspect the data providers object model via VBA. Then you could change with VBA the formula of a variable to contain the information you want to show. This could be done in Document_AfterRefresh.

I'm not sure, but perhaps this can be applied to report filters too.
