Include tag in html?

I would like to reference another page so that it shows with in my big page. I know there is include for php which would allow this, but I am wondering if there is a similar tag for plain html? Dont want to use frames.

Am I chasing my tail or is this possible with html?

Do I need to work with some script lang to get this to work php asp?

Hello there,
As far as I know, you can't do that in plain html. The easier to use is server-side include (ssi), where there is this function. However, if you want something a little bit more powerful, just keep php.

Just rename your files to .shtml or you can also set up htaccess to allow you to use .html if your server will allow you..

shtml must mean what - server side include file? - it looks like my server wont do that for me. Thanks.

Yes, it means Server Side Includes..

If your server won't support SSI then check out the following..
