Hi there. I've got a CM running 6.1.3.3190-1. My Cisco location has been getting a lot of nuisance / harrasing calls in the last 6 months, and they'd like help in tracing these calls. They don't have a PRI (yet) and thus don't have caller ID.

I work predomiately on Avaya systems, and they have a "Malicious call trace" button that can be programmed on a user's phone to collect call info. Does something similar exist for the Cisco? Otherwise, what is the best approach with Cisco? Would it even collect the inbound caller's number?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can add the Malicious Call Trace button to the softkey template on the users phones then when they get a harassing call they can press the key and all the call details will be logged in the trace file. It sounds like you are using POTS lines so it will not have Caller ID information but it will show you which trunk they call came in one and the time, then you can contact your provider from more details.
