This my be UK specific.

Have been doing some testing this afternoon.

It appears that inbound calls are being cleared by providers if not answered within a specific time.

My Vodafone mobile will only let you ring a number for 60 seconds before getting "call failed" (iphone)
Gamma telecom sip trunks appear to be limited to 3 minutes before the call is cleared.

If this is true this is going to cause issues with lot of ring groups that rely on queuing and with no announcements (not answering the phone, having voicemail at the 4 minute mark. )

Im testing to a ddi pointing to a group with queuing on and not announcements, so should not answer but provide ringing indication indefinably.

Im guessing the calls are being cleared somewhere in the carriers networks.

Has anyone seen similar behaviour?

if it is the carrier that are clearing the calls (& you are correct some do) then there is little you vcan do if the customer refused to have announcements on their incoming calls.

what ever their reasoning for this I would sugest they need to reconfigiure as callers that get cut of before being answered are not going to be happy & will not give a toss that it is their network provider & not your customer that is doing it

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
