Hi,
After upgrading 3 workstations from NT to W2k the users are getting the occasional "Run-time error '3078' The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'SELECT [......etc" The debug points to the first line below but will also stop on each other line below.

Forms!frmPriceAnalysis!frmHSISDPOforGridsubform.Form.Requery
Forms!frmPriceAnalysis!frmHSIInventoryDetailforGridsubform.Form.Requery
Forms!frmPriceAnalysis!frmHSIPriceListforGridsubform.Form.Requery
Forms!frmPriceAnalysis!frmSikorksyPOHistforsubform.Form.Requery

These queries all connect to an Oracle server and this error occurs after coming back to the app after a period of time.

The users can close the app restart it and do exactly what they were doing before and have no problem. Really bizzare !
Does anyone have a clue as to what might be happening here ?

Many thanks, Steve.

Hello Steve,

we also had some problems when working on an Oracle database via MS Access client.

We were able to eliminate this kind of problems by setting an ODBC timeout value to 0:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\ODBC\ConnectionTimeout = 0

Try it !

Regards
Hayo

Thanks

Hi Hayo,
Thanks for the reply. Have not seen this problem for some time now after re-writing my code. It was not a timeout issue with the Oracle DB.

Steve.
