Inactive feature messages on VM access

I am working on a CICS with 4.2 SW and a Flash2 with 2.0 SW. The customer wants the Flash installed but I cannot access F983,F9*3 etc.
I have disconnected the Flash and removed the code (F983....test...remove)from the CICS but it still does not work.
Compatibility charts show that SW should work together.
Any input would be most appreciated.

Have you tried feature 903 to initialize the system. After you do this f 983 and other codes should work.

Did you try F903 first to activate the feature code range?

I have used F903 to activate feature code range but the only one that half works is F983. With F983 I get the password prompt but cannot log on(password error). I cannot use F985 to reset password.

Can you use F903 now? I know it is used only once Try F9*1 and see what happens.

If you get a password prompt then the voicemail is not configured. Do F983, 266344, then configure the voicemail. Then F983 will give you a Log prompt.
