Hi,

I have a Flash 4. After the electricity went down for one hour, I tried to access Feature 983 and the system gave an INACTIVE FEATURE display. I then tried to F 903, but it gave me the same error. I also tried F XFTEST but the system told me that there is nothing assigned. I restarted the system, but still nothing worked. The Nostar system works fine though, I can transfer calls, use extensions etc. Could anyone give me a hand? thanks.
I have been reading all of the threads in this forum and have tried all that seems possible to me, but I haven't been able to fix the problem.

According to my experience all Norstar equipment should be feed thru a Ups equipment and this would eliminate these problems cause by power problems.

Daliernest,
To connect a PC to the Flash to see where the boot is failing:
Connect a straight through cable to your lap top comm port. Other side the the DB25 on Flash. Set your terminal emulator to VT100 1200 8N1. Hit Enter PWD: SYSMGR <enter>
Your options will be displayed.

WRT your question about buying a whole new Flash: post more details about your system; KSU type Software levels of both KSU and Flash.

Marv0 isn't on a soap box he's trying to prevent a lot of bad things happening to good equipment. DON'T short the capacitor!
