hi
i need some help with installing win2k advanced server.and iam a total novice at h/w stuff.i have dell pentium III with 128MB Ram ,20GB hard disk ,windows ME o.s.
I bought a new 30GB maxtor hard disk and tried loading win2k advanced server from a CD. The installation goes smoothly but while boot up the blue screen shows up with inaccessible boot disk error. i tried the installation many times without success. only once it booted fine and i could log in but after that its just the blue screen and myself .Any help will be appreciated but pl. write in detail .

do you have a SCSI disk in your system?
I think , during W2k setup (initial DOS phase) you must to select to install drivers for your storage device (f6) . All your problems is because you have not exactly correct driver for your HDD. Download drivers from the manufacturer site.
P.S. or maybe you are using HDD controller other than SCSI? Just get the right drivers.
