When I go into change ip-services, what does SAT stand for? Is it for the SAT terminal? If my switch (S8500) does not have a SAT terminal, can I disable this?

That is the service that you can use to access the switch for admin. Since you are an S8500 you can do the same thing by using the IP address of the processor and port 5023. It doesn't hurt to have a second access point to the switch.

So if we only access the switch via another computer using the IP address of the C lan board, then I can disable it?

I would leave it. Just in case 5023 doesn't work oneday. You always have 5011 or 5001 or whatever...

You have two methods landing
1.avayapbx service port
2.c-lan
In this kind of set up ip-service

SAT Y C-LAN 5023 ANY 0

Thus, we can pass clan login pbx.

So if we only access the switch via another computer using the IP address of the C lan board". SAT IS your access to system admin via the c-lan. If you disable it, your access via the c-lan will no longer work.
