I need to create an advanced search,This search will be it's own form with a subform. Ideally I'd like to create a text box search where I can put in any criteria relating to the database table. Meaning, If I want only hp laserjet printers, I can enter that and the subform will show all records of hp laserjets and so forth. I've tried a couple sample forms but the integration seemed more of a problem than actual usefulness. I had also tried to create a frame which controls a bunch of combo's but wasn't successful. So I figured I'd try a text searchbox. Ultimately, I'd like it to search 12 fields and output whatever criterial I enter. If the Dlookup is possible I could use as well, however, I'm not too familiar with the specific event I would be putting it in.? Any help is greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from ya's!

As always, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

comboboxes will allow you to better control the selections to ensure that they will get back some data.
Text boxes will allow some greater flexibility
List boxes offer the most power as it allows multiple selections.

here is an example of one that allow users lots of flexibility

Thanks gol4, I actually tried that one earlier and would think it to would be the best option. But how would I go about integrating it into my current db? I tried but nothing would function properly. Any Ideas?
