I have 1500 mailboxes that I want to export to a .csv so that I can swap the display name round so that it appears as surname, firstname. i also want to popluate the fields of the mail acocunt with telephone number, department etc. Can anyone tell me what fields i will need in order to import the data back into exchange correctly please. Any other advice regarding import / export would be greatly appreciated

You can either use HEADER.EXE from the Exch 5.5 Support Tools to create the csv file or run Exch Admin in raw mode to find the name of the fields.

Hello,
In the case where you want to modify the export csv and import the same file, you should have errors meaning that the mailboxes and / or addresses already exists.
In the csv file, insert a columns called Mode, and populate it with the "modify" keywork (without the quotes).
