I'm queueing messages for a particular domain in my IMS on Exchange 5.5 SP3. I've contacted them and they have recently(Sat) changed the IP address of thier server. However, I am resolving the MX record properly. I can ping thier mail server from mine.

Any ideas? Where should I look next?

OK. I've gotten only a little farther. Like I said, I can ping thier e-mail server. I cannot, however, telnet to thier SMTP port. They are receiving mail from others and so am I. I can receive from them. I just can't get through.

Does this help??? I really need some ideas.

this might just be a DNS resolution problem. who are you pointed to for DNS. If you can do an nslookup on that DNS server it might tell you if it knows about the new IP or not.
