I'm trying to setup the Voicemail to email function and when I test my settings in the IP Office Voicemail Control Panel app I get an error returned that states "An Invalid license key value 0 has been entered for Integrated Messaging System". I'm only trying to use SMTP email and have created an SMTP connector in my exchange specifically for this purpose. I'm not trying to use IMS as I don't have licensing for it so I'm not sure why I'm getting this error. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks.

So you have set the email server settings under control panel and changed to SMTP by pressing f9 in the VM pro client and selecting SMTP?

Then when you hit check connection or ok it brings that error up?

Tom, that is correct, however I just realized that I don't have VPNM installed and I DO have IMS installed. I think this may be my problem and I'm installing VPNM now.

Ive never Installed or used VPNM so i doubt thats anything to do with it.

Is there a reason that IMS is installed if its not licensed or being used?

Tom, I'm not sure why it's installed but I'm uninstalling it as I type. I should have updated test results in the next few minutes.

No more error after uninstalling IMS. Should be able to work through the rest of the setup. Thanks as always!

I suppose that if you have taken over this account and don't have an accurate picture of the history of the site then it is entirely possible that IMS was mistekenly installed at some prior date. However it would have been a good idea to use the IMS admin tool to see if any domain associations were in place before uninstalling the app.

Whilst i agree with Cargoski, i also think that if it isnt licensed then there would be no reason for it to be installed.

You could regenerate the licenses for the whole key and see if there ever was an IMS license on that key.

Thanks for the star
