Hi,

We have a problem that we have researched extensively.
When opening a report in Impromptu with about 450 pages of images, the report looks fine.
When we try to print this report to PDF or save it as a PDF file, the images dissapear. Then when going back to Impromptu, the images have dissapeared from the report as well.
- The images have been stored locally on the machine.
- The machine specs are more than the required level.
- The temp variables have been changed to something simple
such as c:\Temp, with enough space allocated to this
directory.
- Have tested various printer drivers.
- Able to perform a successful apply in Config. Mngr on
Impromptu component.
- Able to print images from other applications.
- Have tested on various environments, and from different
machines, same problem occurs.

We have tried everything, but nothing seems to work.
Is there anyone out there that has experience a similar problem to this and knows how to fix it?
Thank You!

Hi,

I have had a related problem that may be the same. When I would print a document to a PDF file using Adobe PDFWriter it would appear fine. When I would use the Cognos built-in PDF SaveAs option portions of the document would disappear. It turned out that some of the report frames were overlapping. The text that would vanish was the text that was 'covered' by the lapping frame. Our solution was to resize the offending frames, which fixed our problem. This may or may not be a similar issue.

Let me know if it works,

Dave's right. Had same problem, and just re-adjusted the frames and then printed/or saved to pdf just fine.
