Impromptu Report Picklist with Any as default

I have a question about Impromptu prompts:

I'm using Impromptu 7. I've several reports using an ascii picklist prompt. I've manually added ' Any' to the ascii picklist. In the catalog I've created some filters like:
'Employee matches picklist': ?prompt?=' Any' or Employee=?prompt.
That all works fine, but I have to update the ASCII files to often and I cannot use the scheduler.
I've tried to create a report to use as a report picklist but I see no way to add this ' Any' line. I've tried to use a formula like 'if runningcount(employee)=1 then 'Any' else Employee' but then the first employee will be overwritten with Any and I do need all employee numbers.

I hope I explained it well. Please help me on this.

Kind regards,

Erwin van der Veen

I've made some progress but I'm still not where I wan't to be.
I've created an Ascii picklist file named All_or_select with just two lines : "ALL" and "Select from list".
In my report I've a filter something like:
(?All_or_select? = 'ALL') or (?All_or_select?='Select from list' and Employee is ?Employee?.

So in case of ALL I just ignore the Employee prompt. It works but is not very nice (two prompts for the user) and is difficult to maintain.

I've also read the FAQ about using SQL Views for this problem but I do have so many prompts which makes it very difficult to maintain.

I think if somebody knows a way of adding an extra line to the report (with no underlaying data) which I can replace with ALL, I have the solution to this problem.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Thanks,
Erwin.

Erwin,

Check out faq401-2137 and look at the ALL option.
