I'm importing an xml file to a new table in MS Access but the time/date format (yyyy-mm-ddT00:00:00) isn't what I want. I undertstand what it means just fine but is difficult to work with after. Has anyone ever experienced this and has a solution for converting it back to a standard time/date format or better yet catch and deal with this at the import stage?

Thanks in advance

hi,

date/time values are just NUMBERS, like right now in North Texas it is 40823.43654.

The FORMAT is merely a DISPLAY feature.

A starting point:
newDate = CDate(Replace(oldDate, "T", " "))

Hope This Helps, PH.
