Importing Word File

Hi,

While copying a word document in the coredraw page, Iam not getting the setting done in the word file ( like bold, colouring..). Is there any way to get the same features of word document. This would be great help in layout designing for a book printing.

The only thing I might sugggest, instead of copying and pasting the info from Word into Corel, you should try to import it. Save your document as a .DOC file in word, then select the import comand, and select that document. You will then be able to size the document like an image. This should import all of the text settings, images etc.

This info is based on Corel 9 and Word 2000

Thanks for your response. But iam not still clear, I need to edit the text too in the corel draw.

To exactly tell what i want is, if iam taking any document pasting it in corel and then do few more changes or edit it like inserting the heading, new topics etc, which can't be done if it is imported through corel ( since it would be an image with non editable). Am i right ?

Sorry for troubling you. I get such doubts since Iam new to Corel draw.

Can I have the above heading like "template" format and change the text alone. ( Imagine like a book published weekly where the heading is same but the size of the content would change and remember there are more than 200 subheadings.)

have you tried double clicking on the document when you are in corel after pasting it. If i remember correctly it should open word where you can make your changes and when you return to corel the changes should be there.
