I need to add 200 users into callpilot 4.0. How do I import with excel file?

First create the Excel file with a column for each field of data that you would normally add when creating a single mailbox. You need a minimum of the firstname, lastname, and mailbox number. The fist line of the spreadsheet should be the header row with your data starting in the second row.

Next, from Call Pilot Manager, select User>Auto Add from the menu. On that screen:
1.)select your user creation template
2.)browse to the Excel file
3.)enter the name of the worksheet in that spreadsheet that contains your data .
4.)Click the "Upload File" button.

At this point you will be able to match your data fields of with the appropiate Call Pilot user creation template field. After that is completed click the "Add Users" button to add the users.

i thought you had to save that excel as a comma delimited? has that changed from early rls.. i do know it works great, on early rls's it may not grab either the 1st or last line of the csv..

Yes, you can now use either .csv or .xls in Rls 4 and 5. With the .csv file you can skip the header row and start the data in row 1. I'm not sure where they added the .xls capability but I agree with you John that this is a great feature that also works great for bulk mailbox removals.

thanks both found this morning I used xls file only thingwas I created from a template to allow name diable to external users and half came through but other half did not enable it. I tried to remove the entries using the same file and it messaged so many entreis delted but still there...i will try again to delete the worksheet/i will try a csv file to delete as well.
