Hello all, installing a 3300 (9.0UR1) & integrating it with a Siemens system. There are around 800 extns on the Siemens system that the customer would like to appear in the tel dir on the 3300. I've downloaded the import spreadsheet, filled it all out, done the 'check data format' & corrected all errors that were found & saved it ready for import.
My issue is when I try to actually import it onto the 3300, it starts to validate, gets to 5% then just completely freezes up on me. No error messages (haven't checked any logs to see if there is anything there), it just sits there at 5% (& I have left it for ages), I end up cancelling the import. If I try to import again after cancelling I get the message saying something is importing & that I have to wait until the current import is finished!!?? I can only get round this with a reboot.
Any one got any ideas why this csv file gets to 5% then freezes, I really need to get these extns into the tel dir as the operators consoles are being replaced with 5550 off the 3300 & need to be able to see all extns, both Mitel & Siemens!
As usual all help is greatly appreciated!!
Cheers!

Have you tried importing a single line?

Have you tried importing info for a different form?

Did you create the import using the tool(Frequently fails) or did you export and edit (Never Fails)?

Recommendation for importing Tel Dir Entries. Always set the Prime Line to Yes when creating Tel Dir entries. If you don't you can easily end up with multiple names for the same device and confusion ensues.

Another thought, The validation process uses Java. What version of Java are you using. You might need to upgrade (or downgrade)

And another thought but I don't think you've got this far yet. The Tel Dir entries must match valid digits on the 3300. The digits can be ARS digits or speedcall however.

kwb, thanks for your time with this however I've resolved the issue! Basically the problem was being caused by a few stray entries that the 'check data format' in the import spreadsheet didn't pick up. I had a few (well quite a lot actually!!) entries that were ending with a comma e.g Test,
I removed the comma & all went it OK, thanks again!!!

UKMitel did you have valid entries on the 3300 as kwbmitel suggested? just wondering..
