Hi,

I like to model 3D in AutoCAD R14 as I am familiar with the tools/interface. I have tried using DXF format to export geometries (some complex, some not so complex) to Dream3D (Corel 7.0), but AutoCAD solids do not appear to be imported correctly.

Is there a way to import AutoCAD solids, or will I have to convert them into surfaces? Also, the Dream3D that comes with V7 does not appear to be all that feature rich... Is this product significantly changed in V8?
I too use ACAD, but I normally use them only in the flat vector formats. You can export to corel 8 in dxf 3d. I'm not sure how well it works. You might try bryce 5 also.
