I have a client that "saved" all their e-mail messages to the HDD when they had Outlook 2000. Now that the upgraded their server to SBS 2003 and I pushed Outlook 2003 to their desktops, they are unable to open these saved messages.

I have tried Microsoft's website for help. So far, no luck.

Any one else got a good idea?

My only idea off the top of my head Steve is if you're able to save those messages to a floppy, cd, network etc. and transfer them to a computer with outlook 2000; then put them in a personal folders (.pst) file; then transfer them back to the computer with outlook 2003; 2003 should convert the Personal Folder and all of the emails included. Just an idea for ya to try.

Thanks for the idea. I'll discuss it with my client when they retunr on Monday. I'll let you know. (You would have thought Microsoft would have thought of this and made messages "backward" compatible!)
