Importing mail folder problem windows 98 to xp??

I backed up my mail folders in windows 98.. Now I've installed windows xp and trying to import the mail folder that i backed up in windows 98... For some reason it wont let me.. Are the two outlook expresses incompatible? or does anyone here now the answer to my problem?

I just realized I may need to copy the files to the hard drive and then import from there instead of the cdrom...
I have had to do this when reinstalling xp and importing from the previous xp installations. I think it has something to do with admin priviledges. I'll let you know if this worked...

Yes...that was the problem... All I had to do was to copy the folder to the hard drive and then import from there...
