I am attempting to import my email messages and address book from Netscape Communicator 4.79 into Eudora 5.1. Unfortunately, the attempt has failed a number of times.

I am running on Win2K SP2.

In Eudora 5.1, when I select File...Import...Advanced button, the application closes.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this?

When I use the import wizard, I am only able to select Outlook Express accounts to import. There are no Netscape accounts listed.

I have reinstalled Eudora 5.1 (without uninstalling) and I have installed Netscape Communicator 4.79 over top of 4.77. These did not help me see Netscape in the import wizard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The File > Import > Advanced SHOULD work, at least it does in Win 98SE.... Suggest you contact Qualcomm and ask them, I have found them to be helpful in the past All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

Mulga,

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately, since the version I am using is the sponsored version (I forgot to mention that in the original post) they only provide support by way of their Knowledge Base and tutorials.

Maybe I should just purchase the product. I do like the product. I tried others and now I am coming back to it. I don't know, we'll see.

Thanks.

I figured out a way to get the messages from Netscape to Eudora. I found a process at the following web sites:
1) (for converting the address book). It is not a seamless process. There was still some manual intervention needed. But overall, it was pretty good.
2) == from this page, I clicked on 'Nescape' under the "Converting to Eudora From" column. This method again requires manual intervention, and can be time consuming, depending on the number of folders you have. But, again, overall, it was a pretty good way of preserving the information. There was one folder that did not convert over. I am not sure why at this point. The folder had one item that was of no real significance.

Thanks for all the input.
