Hello,

I am having trouble importing excel spreadsheet to Access

but data in some fields are missing.

The missing data have different alignment from the ones that were imported. I try to change formatting but it didn't work. So what should I do?

Now it is more of excel question than access.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

What type of data is the field. What access does is base its descision on the data type of the field on the first 24 records of that field. If its picking up a number data type and record 26 has text, it won't be able to import the text value. In excel, text values align left and numeric values align right by default. If you need to convert it to numbers, here's a quick way.

1. In a cell, enter the number 1 (Make sure its right aligned)
2. Select and copy that cell
3. Highlight the range of other numbers
4. Go to edit, Paste Special and click on multiply

That will convert them all to number format and should help the import process.
