Hello All,

I currently have an ip406 and recently purchased an IP500v2, is there a way to import the config from the 406 to the 500? I dont really want to program all over again, although I will if need be. Everytime i try to import the 406 config nothing happens. Thank you in advance for your help.

When you have A DS8 and a phone 2 with the right trunk cards then you should be able to import the config.
It will even ask you if you want to migrate from the 406 to the 500.

Thats what i thought, Now i am setting up the 500 on a laptop thats not in my network as of right now. When i export the config, grab it and through it on a jump drive, place it in the back up folder in manager. I can see the file, check the box and hit ok then nothing happens. If i am doing something wrong please let me know, i have never had to import a config before. And it never asked me if i wanted to migrate.

Open manager -> click on "file" -> "offline" -> "Open file"
Select the 406 config
When it is loaded then again select "file" -> "offline" and now select "send config"

Now it will search for the IPO you are connected on (must be the 500)
Then select that IPO and send the config.

Hi TL,

406V2 3.2 to 500V2 7.0

I am doing similar task Friday. So if the 500V2 is setup with a DS8 and Phone 2, I can do as you say? My question is about the PRI card in a legacy carrier. Should I put the PRI/Legacy in slot 1 or slot 3? I guess my question is: what order to put in the DS8, Phone2, Legacy PRI.

Also, i suspect I will have to massage the [9] ARS stuff, but I am more concerned with module order to properly import it back it.

Thanks
Thanks

It does not matter where you put it
I would reprogram it when you can but if you can't then just shoot it in to the IPO and it will ask you to convert it.

I just upgraded a IP403 to a IP500V2.
Bring the IP500v2 to the required version ( I prefer 7.0 ) and then open the config of the IP40x.
The manager then asks if you want a POTS2 or POTS8 card for the alog stations.
Answer the question and off you go.
The one thing i noticed is that the overflow group settings were not correct after the upgrade, no further issues.
I was up and running in less then 30 minutes.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Thanks to both of you.

So I have the 500V2 at 7.0, I will open an off line config of the 406 and then which do I do:

1. Off Line > Send config and it will prompt me.

2. Backup/Restore

3. Import configuration (check off just configuration or all items?)

Thanks, just want to be sure!

If you click on the group then all the agents show up.
Then you can see if they are in the group or not!
