Importing CDR files - problem

Why might I have problems in corel 11 importing other corel 11 files (cdr) into a new or existing file? When I click on "import, nothing comes into the file? Same happens with some files when I try to "open" them.

All of the proper "association" filters are checked. Thanks in advance.

problem could be, that you try to import a CDR-format not supported by your version 11 (V12-saved files do not open in V11!)

Next problem could be, that the files you got are corrupted.

One solution is to import these "unwilling files" into Corel Photo paint (will be convertef to bitmap), but you may then cut out one or the other portion handy for you.

It could also be that you've got a corrupt workspace. Holding down the F8 key while launching the app until you get a dialog box will give you the option to reset everything back to factory defaults.
