I have an application that uses a common dialog box to open text based files for import into SQL. I can specify in the vb app if the common is csv or fixed. What I want to do is import an excel file using the same method, but when I import the file my flex grid is populated with strange characters. How can I populate my flex grid with the excel file data and then import it into SQL????

As in Visual Basic Their are predefined objects
Worksheet and workbook.
By using these objects u can import data into flexgrid
then u can easily send the data.
