We run Access 97 back-end on our server. Our back-end Access 97 database recently became corrupt and could not be repaired. We tried to compact & repair, but to no avail. "Database format not recognized". Yet I was still able to import these tables to Access 2002. But now I need to get the data in these tables back to Access 97 database.
I even exported the data to Excel and tried importing them (via File, Import)to an Access 97 database. But the File, Import on menu bar is not doing anything/importing any data. Is there another was of getting these data from Access 20002 tables to Access 97 tables? Any help would be appreciated..

Can you import into the Access 97 database from another Excel file (not one created by Access 2002)? You should be able to import into Access 97 from Excel and definitely from a text file.
