imported clips

Hi all

Am using premier 6.0 and am having problems with imported and captured clips - the playback is just a series of stills about 1 sec apart when viewed as a clip or in timeline monitor window despite the file playing smoothly on a media player

have used premier before a few months ago, didn't have this problem then

help???

I had the same problem, try checking in project settings/general/edit mode: if is dv playback, check the settings for only "playback on desktop", take off any other output like dv camcorder or vcr.
