Import JFS FS from 5.2 to 4.3.3 ?

HI,

From all IBM books I did not get if import JFS FS from AIX 5.2 to AIX 4.3.3 will work ?
I know I can not import JFS2 FS,but what about a regular JFS created on 5.2 and exported to 4.3.3 ?

You can go to 4.3 box create volume group. Take the maping of the volume group on the 5.2 side.

when you create the logical volume used the mapping and then you will be able to access the logical volumes and copy the /etc/filesystems from the 5.2 to the 4.3 and just uset the stanza's that pertain to that volume group, and leave the stanza's for rootvg on 4.3 box. This is completely doable with no problem, it actually pretty easy, but will not be able import from 5.3 to 4.3 box.
