I'm new to Autocad and Visio.

I have been saving an Autocad 2004 floorplan as a dwg or dwf file and then opening it with Visio 2007.

My problem is when the file is imported in Visio the room nos. associated with the spaces is lost. Is there any way for me to retain the space information when exporting/importing to Visio.

Thank you for any assistance.

It could be that the information is there but hidden under another shape. Can you create a very simple example in Autocad and post it here?

Unfortunately I don't have access to autocad to create an example. I also don't have the autocad skills to do it.

Our autocad floorplans are developed by a contractor and made available to us. I will look under other shapes and see if I can find the room nos.
