Hi, i would like to create a website where i can list a selection products, which can be catagorised and subcategorised. I would like to be able to simply add product details (including pictures preferably) to a database-type system, and click a button which will upload to a website and automatically create links to a separate page about this product (based on a template design), similar to those that you get with many stores(ie Can this be done on dreamweaver, if so how. What sort of data-handling software would i need?

Any suggestions??

PS. This appears to be similar to the mail merge feature on MS Word - is there a dreamweaver equivalent maybe??

What you are describing is a simple database driven site. You need to know what scripting your host offers eg php/asp? then look at the tutorials in Dreamweaver concerning recordsets and Master/Detail pages. Your question is too large to explain every single stage in detail.

What if you simply want to create a static, single use html letter for email marketing purpose? You do not want to be recreating same page all the time, instead you want to create a simple mail merge alike to MS Word.

Any suggestions?
