Implementing Project Accounting

We are looking into moving our Project Accounting from Sage Timberline to Dynamics GP Project Accounting. Our company is a Developer Company and not Construction. The lead in the change states that the project accounting in Great Plains is geared towards construction and not so much developers. She advised me there would need to be many tweaks to have it work for us as developers. Question: Is she right and if so has anyone been in the same scenario and how did you overcome it.

Why are you looking to move?

We are moving from Timberline PA to Great Plains, regardless, but need to know if the Base PA in GP will work or if we need to look at Wennsoft also.
