I have a remote IPO 406 ver. 3.2 with 8 analog incoming lines. Currently the IPO unit is using our central Intuity Audix LX for voicemail.

I want to switch to embedded voicemail. Besides changing the "voicemail type" and instructing users to record new greetings.

What else needs to be done? Thanks!

you need to put the embedded card in the IPO and upgrade the prompts for 3.2

That will depend on what they have like auto attendants and stuff. if it is just user mailboxes there wont be much you need to do.

I am still novice to the ip office configs, but the embedded vm is not so hard to setup. Basicly if you go into phone manager, then click on system tab on the left. You will see a voicemail tab. That is where you specify to the system which voicemail you are running. Which you stated your running embedded VM. When the embedded voicemail is installed and the ip office boots up it creates a mailbox for every user that is setup. Anyone can collect thier vm by dialing *17, or you can click on each user and on thier vm tab you can tick visual voice. You can then go to button programming and put a voicemail button on thier phone. If your wanting to setup a auto attendant with options then you would need to read Avaya Embedded Voicemail Installation Guide. You can google it and get a copy, 50 pages of some fantastic information. If you have any questions, post it and i will be more then happy to share with you what i know about it.

Does phone manager have a system tab ?
