Currently we have CS1000e with OTM 3.1 trying to set up corporate directory. How does the CS1000e get the directory information from the OTM. Does it use FTP, LDAP,... ? The objective of course is to have the directory information show on the iphone2002 screen.

Thanks in advance.

TM 3.1 uses the Common Name Directory Application (CND) to build the corporate directory from the CPND data. You have to install the CND application (it can be co-resident with TM server), and synchronize it before the corporate directory can be built and transferred to the pbx.

TM uses FTP to send the corporate directory to the PBX.

You can connect to a LDAP server and use that to populate your directory. That way you don't have to filter any info that you don't want pushed out to all of the sets.

The sets have to have CRPA assigned in thier class of service to access the directory.

Everthing seems to be working, FTP works, all directory info is there, just can't get it to load up into the PBX, and I have my set with CRPA activated in CLS, is there anything else in the PBX that has to be setup? Getting error code 00015 Directory file upload failed in the Event log viewer??Any ideas.

Thanks

If you have PDT access you can check in /u/db for cpdir0.csv - that is the corporate directory file on the PBX.

If it is not there, then there is probably something wrong in the FTP session.

There is a place in TM to set up a username and password for FTP sessions. I don't remember where it is but if it is not done it will not work.

Have you uploaded the directory to the switch?
Make sure you have selected a site under the upload tab.

Also you need to watch it run the job from the scheduler. When it pops up in the "Task" window it should stay there for a little while. If it pops up and then dissapears it failed.
