Hi All;

Does anyone have any good experience with implementing a free currency converter into their site?

I am looking for a solution that preferably won't require me to have any off site links, and I would like the results to stay in my site.

I have been to XE.COM and OANDA.COM, however, both of these require hefty fees ($540 p/a and $480 p/a) in order to have a customized solution. For a small South African company these fee is just too much.

I was hoping an experienced person out there may have a solution that they always use for these requirements.

Please. :-D

Won't the free one from xe.com do the job? From what I can see, the key sections are:

XE.com Ads: Yes: 1 (one) banner ad
Input Page: Customized as you desire and hosted on your site.
Results Page: Our standard currency converter results, including 1 (one) XE.com banner ad, but encapsulated in HTML code specified by you.

Which means as long as you don't mind the banner ad and the fact that it shows where the convert comes from, you should be able to integrate it into your site.

Unfortunately not. :-(

The banner add will most likely include an offsite link, and the results page is hosted by xe.com too.

How I wish it weren't so though. :)

In that case, have a look at There looks to be a web service there that you may be able to use.
