I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007.

I have multiple email accounts - all of them IMAP against the same server. My problem is that receiving new emails act strange. It seems like Outlook is only directly connected to the account which I am currently viewing the inbox of. For example, when looking at an inbox and sending an email to that inbox from a webmail I get instant notification. When sending to an email, which account is not open I have to click Send/receive to get the email.

Is this a limitation? Is this configurable? Preferably I want to be directly connected to all accounts and not poll with send/receive to get emails when using IMAP.

Thanks!

Correct. But this means I cannot receive emails from other accounts unless I specify a update interval - which is slow and costly.
