Imail - Invalid User Not Bouncing

I have searched through the threads but cannot find an answer to this.

I am getting spammed on all domains by people sending mail to invalid acounts eg accounting@domain.com

Instead of bouncing, the messages are being forwarded to the postmaster alias routing eg: root or what ever is set.

I do not have a "nobody" alias so all these invalid accounts should bounce as a 550 but they are not.

has anyone got any ideas???

it actually sounds like a "catch all" kinda thing. I actully have my spam filter set to drop the e-mails in the root. Every few weeks I look at whats in there and add stuff to the block file.
