It may be a stupid question: I have not used the Ghost. Can someone explain how does this work?
I assume I will have to follow the following steps:
1. Install Ghost on a PC
2. Attach the New Hard Drive to the PC.
3. Deattach the Original HDD from BCM and attach to the PC
4. Run the Ghost to copy the Image of the BCM HDD to the new HDD.
How long does it take to copy the image?
I am asking this question based on the assumption that all the above steps are correct. My concern is the BCM downtime (If i have to take the BCM HDD out then it would be down during the entire process).
It takes about 10-15 mins to image the drive on the Dell machine I have and it is not a great spec P3 333Mhz 256 ram 20 gig hard drive for operating system.
If your using Ghost Corporate, you can push an "agent" that loads on any NT/2k/xp machine and can take an imagine while its runnings.. just like veratas or CA have for their popular backup problems ...
